What to expect

An underground funicular from Zermatt to Sunnegga, a gondola to Blauherd and a cable car take you to the Rothorn at 3,103 m. From the terrace the Matterhorn stands straight ahead, with Monte Rosa and the Weisshorn around it. On the way down, the Five Lakes Walk from Blauherd passes lakes that mirror the Matterhorn on still mornings. Strong wind stops the top cable car.
