What to expect
From car-free Saas-Fee a cable car goes up to Felskinn, and the Metro Alpin, the highest underground funicular in the world, tunnels on to Mittelallalin at 3,456 m. You step out onto the Fee Glacier with the Allalinhorn, the Alphubel and the Dom around you. The revolving restaurant turns once an hour, and the Ice Pavilion takes you inside the glacier. There is snow and skiing here most of the year.
