What to expect
The highest summit of the Black Forest, reached by the Feldbergbahn and a walk of about half an hour over open slopes. On clear days the Alps line the horizon from the Zugspitze to Mont Blanc, and the Feldberg tower and the Haus der Natur visitor centre are worth a stop. Easy hiking country, in Germany, so Swiss passes don't count.
