What to expect

Two cable car sections climb from Surlej above Silvaplana to a terrace at 3,303 m, the highest point in the Engadin you can ride to. The lakes of Silvaplana and Sils lie right below, with the Bernina glaciers ahead. It's high enough for snow most of the year, so bring warm clothes, and strong wind stops the cable cars.
