What to expect
Four lifts take you from Verbier to the Mont-Fort at 3,329 m, the highest point of the 4 Vallées ski area. From the terrace you see Mont Blanc, the Grand Combin and, on clear days, the Matterhorn, with the Tortin glacier below. It's above all a winter trip for skiers; in summer the top lift runs only for a few weeks, so check before you go.
