What to expect
Two lifts take you from Fiesch to a rocky top at 2,869 m, where the Aletsch Glacier, the longest in the Alps, curves away below you towards the Jungfrau. It's the biggest glacier view you can reach without the train through the Eiger, for a fraction of the Jungfraujoch fare. Strong wind stops the cable car, and in cloud there's little to see.
